(A) Objectives

  1. To enhance students’ learning effectiveness through adopting self-directed learning skill so as to equip them with life long learning ability.
  2. To foster students’ skills on thinking, applying and analysing through theme-based learning activities.
  3. To develop students’ generic skills through corresponding extended learning activities.

(B) Implementation

1. To enhance students’ learning effectiveness through adopting self-directed learning (SDL) skills, school-based SDL

   programmes are launched, such as Notebook tasks, P.1-3 extra-curricular activities and P.4-6’s ELTA lessons.

2. To develop students’ abilities in thinking, applying and analysing, different theme based cross-curricular learning activities

   are designed in collaboration with other subjects. These tasks focus on Chinese intangible cultural heritage. Sub-topics of

   different levels are as follow:

      P.1 – Shadow play

      P.2 – Archery tools making

      P.3 – Paper umbrella

      P.4 – Dough figurine

      P.5 – Sky lantern

      P.6 – Floral arch

To enhance students’ generic skills and English ability, a wide range of learning activities are implemented, such as English Day, competitions, festive activities, reading programmes to promote National Security Education and English drama.
