(A) Objectives

  1. To promote reading through classic readers and fairy tales and reading across the curriculum through STEM reading and various text-types.
  2. To foster autonomous learning and cater for learner diversity through e-learning and school-based tasks.
  3. To enhance English language competence and promote positive values and attitudes in pupils through various co-curricular activities.

(B) Implementation

1A. To equip students with self-editing ability through introducing proof-reading skills focusing on different language items in different levels.

1B. To strengthen students’ organizing skills through introducing various graphic organisers to students for note-taking to organize the knowledge they learnt.

2. To design different theme based cross-curricular leaning activities in collaboration with other subjects focusing

    on Chinese food. Sub-topics of different levels are as follow:

      P.1 – Chinese Festival Food

      P.2 – Chinese Dim Sum

      P.3 – Chinese desserts

      P.4 – Herbal Tea

      P.5 – Chinese Tea

      P.6 – Basin Cruisine

3. Organise English Day with various activities for students of all levels as an extension of the language knowledge they learnt. Activities include :

-      Video watching

-      Games on buying/selling

-      Drama and puppetry appreciation

-      Orienteering

-      Sayings of Wisdom

-      Poems appreciation

-      Writing messages

-    Colouring
